Miles is an in-progress prototype for a simple, three-button controller for modular synthesizers and other equipment accepting 0-10V control voltage.


Borrowing the combinatory logic of trumpet valves, Miles makes the most of a straight-forward principle: that three fixed voltages, when put in various combinations, are capable of generating a wide range of notes or control signals.



I am currently developing a virtual emulation of Miles using Max/MSP, with hopes to cross over into physical circuitry soon.
